How do I add my song on YouTube music account? How do I get my song on YouTube?
The short answer to it is - you can't.
Songfinch songs come with a Personal Use License. This means that you can share your song, post it on your own personal social media channels, and add it to personal videos and slideshows (shared privately, and not part of a channel that can be/has been monetized). Why? Your artist retains 100% ownership of the master and composition of your song. As long as you’re not using it to promote a business or product, or monetize your song in any way, you're in the clear.
What does that mean? It means you can't upload the song yourself or through a distributor to any streaming service, including but not limited to, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, Apple or any other place where the song can be monetized and broadcast without the express permission of the artists.
It's important to note that if you submit lyrics for an artist to turn into a song, the recording belongs 100% to the artist. The lyrics will always be yours but the song's ownership and copyright does not pass to you, the customer. If you'd like to buy the recording of your song outright, let us know and we'd be happy to work with you on that.
