What Is the Lyric Draft?
For most orders, your artist will share a draft of your lyrics before they head into the studio to record. This is your chance to weigh in on the song before it's finalized.
How It Works
Once your artist submits a lyric draft, you'll be notified by email or text with a link to review it on your song page. From there, you can read through the lyrics, listen to a preview (if provided), and do one of two things. You can either approve the draft as-is or leave feedback for your artist.
You'll have 24 hours to submit your feedback, so don't wait too long. If no action is taken within that window, the draft will auto-finalize, messaging will reopen on the song page, and your artist will proceed to recording.
Leaving Feedback
Click into any line of the lyrics to leave a note directly on that line. Your artist will see your comments and use them to shape the final version. If you have broader feedback that goes beyond a specific line, select any line, write "See song page messages for full feedback," submit the draft, then post your full notes as a message on your song page. Your artist will know to look for it.
Rush Orders
If you selected a 1, 2, or 3-day rush delivery, your order skips the lyric draft step so your artist can get straight to recording and meet your delivery window. You'll still have the opportunity to request edits after your song is delivered.
