Yes! Once your artist accepts your commission, a direct messaging thread opens on your song page where you and your artist can communicate throughout the entire creation process. Open collaboration is at the heart of how Songfinch works, and the more you share with your artist, the better your song will be.
Your artist will reach out if they have questions, and you can message them anytime with additional details, preferences, or feedback. They'll see every message you leave on your song page.
A couple of things to keep in mind: Messaging is briefly paused at two points in the process. The first is during lyric draft review, where you'll need to either approve the draft or submit feedback before the conversation reopens. The second is at song delivery, where you'll need to take action on your song (request edits or finalize it) before messaging reopens. Both of these are temporary pauses designed to prompt a required step, not a limitation on collaboration.
